Live Fire Training 03-03-2026

Peeples Valley Fire District's Wildland and Operations Divisions safely and successfully executed their live fire exercise and training event.
During this exercise, firefighters practiced multiple evolutions they would not normally experience in a controlled fire environment.
These evolutions included: Command and Control, Communications, Firefighter Safety and LCES, Backfire and Burnout, use of ignition devices, including drip torches, pump and roll operations (mobile pumping), handline construction, pumping from draft, fire weather, use of belt weather kit to determine go-no go conditions for prescribed fire, and fire behavior.  This training has prepared our divisions for the upcoming fire season.
