Wildland Services Division
The Wildland Division was established to provide a highly trained and properly equipped team capable of responding to wildland–urban interface fires. In addition to wildfire response, the crews collaborate with property owners throughout the district to reduce hazardous fuels and create defensible space around homes and structures.
The Wildland Division functions with an independently allocated budget, distinct from the district’s standard tax levy operational funding.
Through a collaboration with the Hassayampa Wildland Response Group, teams are also available for deployment to support multiple jurisdictions both within Arizona and in other states, thereby enhancing regional wildfire response capabilities.
